Land Rover / Range Rover Smart Key Replacement in St. Lucie West
Replaced and programmed a Land Rover / Range Rover smart key on-site in St. Lucie West — no dealer, no tow.

European vehicles typically get sent back to the dealer for key work, which for a St. Lucie West customer means a round-trip to a metro-area service department and an appointment two to three weeks out. We were called to see whether a Range Rover smart key could be handled mobile — and on modern Land Rover platforms with the right tooling, it can.
We arrived with a compatible OEM-spec smart key for the vehicle's model year, a European-capable programmer, and a fresh remote battery for the existing key so we could verify the original was actually deauthenticated rather than just weak. Land Rover fobs use a strong rolling code — a low battery symptom can look identical to a failed fob until you rule it out.
Once the existing key was confirmed as genuinely failing, we connected to the vehicle's diagnostic port, entered the platform's security session, and paired the new smart key. Push-to-start was verified, passive entry checked at each door handle, and the panic and tailgate functions confirmed.
One nuance for Land Rover: the vehicle sometimes needs a specific security time-out period before it will accept a new key on an all-keys-lost job. On this visit the customer still had one working key, so the session ran short. On an all-keys-lost we schedule the visit to include that time-out window.
The customer left with two working smart keys, no dealership scheduling to work around, and no six-figure vehicle sitting on a flatbed. This is one of the higher-value calls we run — the delta between a mobile locksmith visit and a European-dealer key job is significant on almost every axis.
